12/52

i have been getting in the habit of taking the kids for a walk every time i have to mail out an order for fancy free. they may be slow, complain, and not listen sometimes but i figure this is the best way to teach them safety while crossing the street or to be patient while running errands. sometimes there's a line at the post office and they wiggle around and complain about being tired but its our thing now. we only have to walk about four blocks but with the sun in our face it sometimes feels like an eternity. we picnicked at the park last week and ran into the cutest little girls, they put on a performance for me singing and dancing "the lollipop guild" and "i whip my hair back & forth" which i had to look up today because it didn't ring a bell but man that was so cute. niko wore those 3d glasses on his forehead all day too.

i am not surprised that i have already missed a couple weeks of updating this feature. its important to me that i post this because time flies, it really does. im not just saying what other moms say. its true!

1. playing records at home, they like scratching like their papa.
2. niko came to my rescue this week and calmed her down during a melt down.
3. luna, waiting for papa for our neighborhood walk. niko, always being cautious & safe!

03/52 AT THE AQUARIUM

i have been lagging on my weekly posts, but really, what else is new? i am now trying to put together luna's birthday party and scheming ideas to make her special day fun for everyone. so that's what i've been up to. that and niko's school has so many events to keep track of lately, but i love it!

we recently went to the aquarium near our house and its a bit small, definitely smaller than long beach but it was great! i loved all the anemones they had and the jelly fish were beautiful too.  i turned into a kid while looking at the different sea creatures, just fascinated by it all. niko had a bit of trouble with "the swimmer" the diver skeleton they had on the ceiling but other than that the kids had a great time. afterwards, we hung out at the cold windy beach and ran around and played with sand. oh wait that wasn't me, that was the kids.

02/52

we drove down to san diego last week after two months of missing our loved ones. the holidays were hard without these people but we just packed the car and drove. my kids were in puppy heaven since my friends mom had puppies in her backyard. one of the puppies ended up with my mom in law only ten minutes away, so we are happy to have puppy love close to us.
also, hugo. the pug next to niko is his best puppy friend. those two love each other and have disgusting makeout sessions.
the day we have our own pup, niko will be complete. this boy of mine loves dogs so much! although with luna around i don't think it's such a great idea, this girl has a rough hand and reminds me of elmira from the looney tunes. while we were visiting the puppies luna launched one off the couch. whoops!

01/52

guess where we went last weekend? it was the most random thing too because niko is always saying how he hates chuck e cheese and im like "oh i know, me too!"
but sunday afternoon he requested to go and i thought, well why not. we got there and it was super packed, per usual. but we only played a couple games and left. niko got over his fear of the chuck e cheese mechanical band. i have a special place in my heart for those robots. and on the way home we spotted a rainbow. there hasn't been a rainbow that hasn't made me smile.

since i am so bad at keeping up with posts, i will try to do this. weekly photos of my kiddos. i post daily on instagram but its not always my kiddos and they change so much so quickly. i think this is going to be extremely rewarding. got this series idea from bleubird.
