luna's bff lotus turned three and had a rager to celebrate. her papa is the sound guy with the biggest bass in l.a. so its only natural that they'd have a mini rave for their special girl. the day was super fun for all of us, three jumpers for the kids, tons of treats, face painting, dj playing the jams and an open bar for the adults. just as i needed it this afternoon. the kids partied so hard, they even lost their shoes a couple times. what a perfect day to celebrate this little ladies birthday, happy birthday lotus!

THE EAMES HOUSE
i am hoping that this becomes a regular thing... when my friends can
come up to visit and i get to spend the day out and about. i had been
dreaming of a day like this. my friend tassia came up from san diego and
spent three days with me. raoul took care of the kids all day and i got
to visit museums, get a pedicure, went shopping, had lunch, breakfast
and even visited a friend we hadn't seen in a long time. i didn't have
to worry about anything, had adult conversations and enjoyed time with
my friend.
on the day we visited the eames house i forgot my camera so these are phone pictures. such a special place this house is, and now its a historic home. we weren't able to take photos of the inside and indoor tours are way too expensive. the cool thing is you can see the entire living room and kitchen from the outside. the home is decorated so cozy and cute. i loved being there and was totally inspired.

ALAIN DELROME & THE ART OF PACKING
while i was in mexico city i discovered and fell in love with the photography by alain delorme. these photos from chinese couriers were snapped so beautifully, i am not sure if they were photoshopped or not to have so much piled up and be carried on a tiny bike seems impossible. but i've learned that the impossible is always possible. so, what i wanna know is.. where were these dudes while we were moving a couple weeks ago? i am all settled into my new place in san pedro but i still have to go through a few miscellaneous boxes. i am a bit of a hoarder. i tend to keep random junk in boxes i guess. must break this habit!
